AWNINGS
A canopy is generally a glass overhang placed above a door. Its goal is to cover and protect a small area in front of the door against bad weather while an awning is an overhang to cover the upper part of a bay window or overhang. It can also act as a roof over a door or an ensemble allowing protection from bad weather.
Awnings are appreciated for their finesse, esthetics and utility.
It can be covered in natural copper, tin or asphalt shingles.
The roof can be straight or curved. Usually, the curved roof is in copper.
Different maintenance free decorative mouldings can festoon the ensemble. Gutters are also available to channel excess water.
